Making a decision is easy, as long as we feel confident about ourselves.

But it is precisely our insecurity that prevents us from making decisions in life. And with her, our fears.

What does it mean to feel insecure?

Feeling insecure means not being focused on ourselves, and on the contrary, we are aware of what others will think of our decision.

Therefore, it is easy, not knowing how to make a decision based on the reasons that others expect or think about it.

The insecurity grow in us and therefore indecision and fears, thus increasing the vicious cycle end, feeling increasingly blocked and paralyzed.

How to regain personal safety?

Feeling sure of ourselves means having a good self-esteem , that is, a good relationship with ourselves, valuing who we are, knowing well our strengths, and also our weaknesses.

How to make a decision?

When we are faced with several options, from which we have to make a decision, first, as we have said, it is important to feel connected with ourselves, knowing who we are and our projection in life.

In such a way, that we will not be focused on others, on what they think or think about our options, but on ourselves.

Second, it is important to take time to reflect on each option, assessing its pros and cons. Contrasting what convinces us with what limits us.

The best way to assess the pros and cons is to give them a numerical score, in such a way that depending on the importance of each specific aspect, we give it a score between 0 and 5, for example.

In this way, it will be easy for us, numerically, to contrast the importance of the reasons for each scale, thus knowing which is the one that benefits us the most.

For this, it is important that the assessment of each aspect is sincere, and based on our personal interests and not on the interests of other people, who are not the ones who have to make the decision.

How to put the decision into practice?

Once the aspects and reasons for the pros and cons have been assessed, with the result, it is necessary to be consistent, and with this, the decision-making will be resolved.

Then we can only express it to others, stating our reasons, those that we value very important and for them, the result of the decision.

And after the exhibition, executing the decision taken means directing our life towards that path, without a doubt, and remembering at all times, the reasons why we reached this starting point.

The worst decision is the one that is not made

And what do we do with fears?

To any change in life, they will appear fears and they will make us doubt on  whether that decision will be the most appropriate.

And who knows which decision is the best?

The only person who can value what is best for me is me

We can make mistakes, so the error, inevitably, can help us to provide learning in our lives. Walking through life is going blind, not knowing what will bring us.

Therefore, once we have assessed our motives, it will be worth deciding to move forward, overcoming and facing our fears.

In addition, it is likely that not making the decision was the worst option, because it would block us on the way, and the consequence of this would be much worse than the consequences that the chosen path can bring us, since it corresponds to our wishes and values more deep.
